Sometimes the video looks bad on Facebook, or blurry, pixellated, or fuzzy. Compression Causes Videos to Look “Bad” The first thing you should know is that when you upload a video anywhere, to Facebook, YouTube, where ever, the platform you upload to has to compress the video to save space on their own servers.

If your calls are pixelated, blurry, dropping or freezing during a call, you or the person you're calling may have a weak signal. When making video calls, we recommend a download speed of 5Mbps per individual you're calling, for example, a group call with 3 other people would require a download speed of 15Mbps.

Step 1: Open the application, followed by the menu screen on the right to select from the list. Open "App Settings" under the Help and Settings section. Step 2: Locate the options of 'Upload photos in HD' and 'Upload videos in HD' to turn them on. This may fix the issues with blurry videos. 3.

There’s a gear icon at the bottom of Facebook videos that will allow you to change the resolution of the video. You may also need to confirm that the video you took is a higher quality than what Facebook first displays. You can try to look at the video’s file properties. It should have a resolution and file size included.

If your calls are pixelated, blurry or freezing during a call, you or the person you're calling may have a weak signal. We're aware of an issue where some Portals experienced a forced factory reset. If this happens, please follow the onscreen instructions to start using your Portal again.

1: It’s most likely to be your own Uplink connection speed. You can test this using Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test or similar. You can switch to a different type of connection (such as mobile data) to further test and, if it helps, to improve your transmitted video quality.

I think your nonstandard resolution might be causing a problem. You've set your output resolution to 960x720, but YouTube is playing that back as a 1280x720. Also the highest bitrate that is available at is 2600kbps, which isn't terrible, but it's at the low end of their suggested range, which is 1500-4000.

Images look blurry when zoomed in with Upload HD OFF but crisp and clear with Upload HD ON. Turn Upload HD on in Settings: In the Facebook App on your phone, go to Settings & Privacy, click on Settings and then select Videos and Photos. From here you’ll see the option to turn Upload HD on for both videos and photos. Turn it on and you are all set.

It sounds to me like your running games in a resolution that is not native to your display and it causes them to look pixelated. Windowed mode would look fine because the window would be the same size as w/e resolution you have set. I have a Sony 40" TV and a GTX 570 and run everything in 1920x1080. Anything lower then that gets more and more pixelated. So if your running in say 720p on a 1080p monitor, it will look pixelated.

They will appear pixelated if the videos being played exceed the processing capacity of the hardware being utilized. In this instance, the videos are not the culprits. The only solution would be to utilize a system that can handle such videos.
