One of them confirms that you’re friends with that person. If you hover over that button, one of the options will be “get notifications.” Click this and make sure it’s checked. When this option is enabled, you will get a Facebook notification when that user posts something new.

Look for the “Notifications” entry on the left hand navigation column. Click it. Within the “Notifications” menu, click on the “Edit” link next to “On Facebook” at the top of the list. Scroll down to the “What You Get Notified About” section and look for the entry “Close Friends activity”.

Facebook notifies you when a friends post based on how close it thinks you are to them. It sometimes uses how often you talk, view their post or how often both of your locations are close to one another.

How do I adjust my mobile push notifications from Facebook? ... I'm subsribed to an event I'm going to and I want to know how I can get a notification when someone posts on the event. Click on the three-dotted button above the post. Select ‘Turn on notifications for this post’ from the drop-down menu. Now you will receive notifications when there is a new comment on the post.

Turn the browser's Push Notifications setting to the On or Off position, or select Mute Notifications to turn off Facebook push notifications on the browser. In this section, you can also change the Sounds settings for Facebook push notifications to turn sounds on or off when a notification or message is received.

You may want to double check that you have notifications turned on for those posts. If you go the posts, click the "v" in the upper right corner and select "Turn on notifications for this post". Hope this helps,

Click on “Notifications” (located under the group cover photo), then select “All Posts”. This way you’ll get notifications any time members post in the group. Or in the case of my BLOG EDU members, they’ll receive a notification every time I go LIVE with a Facebook Live video!

Open the Facebook app and head to Notification Settings. Facebook’s Android app actually has the best notification management settings. Select the activity you do or don’t want to be notified about, such as Activity About You or Friend Requests, and then use the three toggles—Push, Email, and SMS—to decide what way you want to be notified.
